Day 26: Forgiving Fruit

I took this picture when I was in Paris, France in 2012. I thought of it this morning when I was coming up with the title for this post. This is the fruit of my desires. I love to travel. My heart sings when I wake up in a foreign country. I have truly been blessed to see so much of the world. As my days go on, my blessing increase, I find more reasons to be happy, and I learn the true meaning of love itself.

Over the course of the last few years, I have learned that the first step to being intrinsically happy is not the ability travel and see the world, it is the ability to forgive those that are in your personal-world.

First, forgive yourself.

Then, after you forgive yourself, you must forgive those that have hurt you. Ask yourself, what does harboring anger against someone do for that person? Meditate on that.

The answer, more often than not, is nothing.

Then ask yourself, what does harboring anger against someone do for you?

Let me break this down:

The word for means something that is designed to benefit ... Harboring anger does NOTHING FOR YOU. It works totally against you.

-You lose sleep, which you need to maintain your health.

-You worry about a person so much that you start losing yourself

-You allow the pain of what a person did live in your mind.. Not only does it live but it thrives and grows and seeps into other aspects of your life.

-You become bitter and unpleasant.

-You start making decisions based on that situation.. You ruin chances that could open brand new doors of opportunity because you referred to your anguish for the answer.

Anguish, anger, regret --- those are not of God. Wisdom, kindness, and unconditional love are of Him.

When you forgive, you gain wisdom. When you forgive, your heart grows kind.
When you forgive, you do it because you know how to show unconditional love, in turn, you will feel the same type of love when you make mistakes against others.

Oh gosh! Here's comes a tangent: Don't you want to be forgiven when you mess up. Don't you say, Im sorry.. I apologize.. God, forgive me.. ? So, treat others how you want to be treated and forgive them. Even when they do you wrong. When you are able to do that, you become closer to God and closer to your GLORY!

Don't let your past or your current situation victimize you. Be strong. Look your troubles in the eye and say,
YOU WILL NOT GET THE BEST OF ME, I AM TOO WISE FOR THAT.
I AM TOO LOVING TO HATE YOU.
I AM TOO HAPPY TO BE UNKIND.

Write it down if you have to ...
Say it every day if you have to.
Do whatever it takes to learn from your transgression, forgive your persecutors, and thank God for the process.
