Day 5: Intrinsic Happiness
First make a quick list of the things that make you happy.
Here's mine:
Good food
Spending time with my fam/friends
Thrifting
Flowers
Butterflies
Reading in park during the summer
Traveling/seeing new things
When my students get it and apply it
Vintage anything
Church hats
Rings
Indian/Native American clothes/jewels
Coloring/Painting
Writing
Teaching
Coffee shops
Book stores
Snow days
Sunsets
My grand father's raps
When Aunt Lorraine tells me she's proud of me
Gran's catfish and grits
A clean, freshly made up bed
PYNK events
Blossom Girl meetings
Hagan-Daz Vanilla Ice cream
I think I could go on and on but if you notice, most of the things on my list are intrinsic. Very few involve help from an outside source.
As you pray today, ask God to help you create your own inner-happiness as well.
After you make your list, use your calendar and place a different activity on each day of the week. You must find time for your bliss, in order for it to manifest into your spirit.
Happy Sunday,
V
