Hashtag - Ready

Look how the wild flowers grow! They don't work hard to make their clothes. But I tell you Solomon with all his wealth wasn't as well clothed as one of these flowers. God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. Won't he do even more for you? You have such little faith! Be ready and keep your lamps burning. -Luke 12:27-28 & 35

Take a moment to reread the verses above. Allow this Word to sink into your heart. Write it everywhere. Record a voice note of it and make it your ringtone. Seriously, this is exactly what we need to remember, in order to fulfill our purpose in life. We must have faith and always, always be ready!

Meditation Directions:

Choose the verse(s) that resonate with you the most and apply them to your life.

For example:

"Look how the wild flowers grow."

We are all wild flowers. No matter how rich or poor, educated or ignorant, you have been through your share of adversity and you will face more in the future. That's just the way life goes. But pay close attention the word GROW!!! Through it all, those wild flowers are blossoming and flourishing! Just because your life isn't as tamed or going in the direction that you may want it to right now, that doesn't mean that you are not still growing! Take a minute to dwell on your progress over the last year, month, even week......
Well, do you see a difference in yourself or nah?

"God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields."

Meditate on the word FIELDS! He didn't say small yard or flower pot ... He specifically said, "fields". What this means is: You're too big for anything less than a field. God is giving you space for your roots to stretch as far as they want to go. Your field is not barren. It is being well taken care of, even when you don't take care of it yourself.

I also think about a battle field when I think of fields. You might be fighting during your process but the Word says, "God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields." You don't have to worry about a thing! Your field is already blessed by the promise of The Lord. Even through your storms.. Even when you are in the middle of that place, all by your lonesome, God is going to pull you from the dirt and let you grow, beautifully. Why? Because that's what He said He would do!
And he doesn't break His promises!

"Be ready and keep your lamps burning."

Never stop working. Never give up. Never let your light dim. It doesn't matter how long it takes, what has been promised to you is going to be yours! The moment you blow out your lamp and stop waiting on God, is the moment that you lose everything that you have already worked for. So stay faithful. No matter how far away your reach seems, stay faithful.
Stay ready.

Now, let me get "ready" for work.

xoxo,
V
